For many people, a gas car is the single biggest source of carbon pollution.
If you need to drive a car and have the means, consider switching to an EV. They are far less expensive to operate (both to run and to maintain!)
If an electric car is not possible for you at this time, aim to take fewer trips or switch to alternative forms of transportation some of the time.
If you only need a car on occasion, consider using a carshare service like Zipcar or Communauto, rather than owning a vehicle.
Public transportation reduces carbon pollution, air pollution, and congestion.
When using rideshares like Uber or Lyft, look for hybrid or electric options!
Active transportation, such as walking, biking, or using a scooter are healthy and fun ways to get around. Get some exercise, fresh air and avoid creating more carbon pollution!
Flying is one of the most energy-intensive forms of consumption and a significant contributor to carbon pollution causing climate change.
Make some of your trips closer to home or driveable adventures.
Attend business meetings and events virtually where possible.
Fly less, fly economy and/or be sure to offset your flights.
Fly economy instead of business or first class.
